QUB transonic

The transonic wind tunnel is an intermittent high speed tunnel, flow speed controlled through choke angle.  Optical access along the working section.  A wide range of instrumentation is available, including unsteady surface pressure measurement, flow visualisation, schlieron photography, two-/three-component PIV and time resolved PIV.  A digital video recording system is also available for high frame rate video capture up to 4kHz.
